This purse was alot of
fun to crochet and so simple. My first attempt at felting
turned out rather well if I do say so myself. I liked it so
much that what started as a Christmas present ended up as a
gift for me. The pattern is currently available on the
website.

The website has a new look. Albeit, only the
home page so far. Each of the pages will be refreshed soon.
Visit today to take a look.
I received my first cheque
from a publishing company this month. How exciting! Two of my
patterns will be published in a book due to be released
this spring or summer. Watch for details as I get them.

Note - click here and
bookmark the spot for Debi K's Crochet Chatter. This discussion
group is not getting the interest I have hoped for. I will
leave it active for one more month to see what happens, if more
people join, I will leave it active. Otherwise, I will
deactivate the group as it is not worth the time for the little
bit of activity it gets currently.

Dear Debi,
Well here it is 2009 already.
Happy New Year to all of you! Boy, I've been busy this month
crocheting new and exciting projects.
It's going to be an exciting year for me and Crochet Do Dads. So
many new patterns, published patterns and yarn stores are now
asking to carry the patterns. I only hope I can keep up the pace
for developing new patterns once the warm weather comes.
Please read on to see what I have just added to the website and
what will be added in the next few weeks. And, if you know
someone that is an avid crocheter, forward this email to them for
all to enjoy.
I hope you find our patterns interesting and keep coming back for
more.

Crocheted Christmas Tree
Quick &
Simple
This little darling will make a lovely addition
to your Christmas decor for next year. The pattern includes the
skirt, the tree itself, the star and the wrap-around string.
You'll need a paper towel holder to form the base of the tree. It
crochet's up quick with any worsted weight yarn. This pattern is
also now available on the website. Simply click the photo to go to the website.

One for him. One for her.

Now available on-line as well.
These easy to make scarves crochet up quick and simple. Using sc
and working in the back loops to form a ribbed pattern than
naturally curls for effect.
Make one in several colours. The pattern works with any yarn you
have on hand - well maybe not for a bulky weight yarn. The
pattern may get lost due to the bulkiness of the yarn. But
certainly worsted weight, fingering, baby, sock - even
crochet cotton will work for this pattern.

Coming This Month

Although
this little lovely was designed as a helmet bag - it can be used
for carrying almost anything with it's simple drawstring closure.
Easy shell pattern creates a beautiful effect.
Also available this month will be the felted
saddle blanket pictured above and a unique plant centrepiece for your table. Check the
website often to see the new patterns. Also watch for
a little
black dress pattern toward the end of the month.
It's my latest project for an event I'm attending - I hope it
turns out or I'll be shopping.

Crocheter's Corner

This is an ad for Avanwhit Stables featured in a
equine magazine. The horse, President (a black, dutch warm blood
stallion) is wearing the Santa Hat I designed and crocheted. Of
note - President is also the sire of one of my ponies here on the
farm. The pony is now 3 and named Precious Crystal.
Send us your finished projects and we'll try and feature some of
them each month. Email them to us at info@crochetdodads.com. Make sure you include
your name and contact information, should we have any questions.
